Holiday Season Fund Drive

The busiest shopping season of the year is upon us, and you can help raise funds for CPR by taking advantage of our special partners offers.  When you make purchases through iGive, or buy and sell through eBay Giving Works, CPR receives a portion of the proceeds. This helps pay for medical care, food and all the other costs associated with rescue work. See our Special Partners page for details.

Our Kennel Is Now Operational!

We're so proud, we're just about tripping over our own tails!

On November 15th, 2011 the dogs were moved from their temporary kennels into the new 7 dog facility. Each run is 5' x 10' inside connected to a fully enclosed 5' x 10' outside area, with a sliding door that can be closed between them. The kennels are the best available, manufactured by Mason.

The building is fully heated and air-conditioned, well lit, has full length wash-down drains, locking doors, and other safety features. The floors are sealed concrete, and we use stainless water pails and bowls. This allows complete disinfection of the kennels, which is done several times a day.

The dogs sleep on elevated Kuranda dog beds, which eliminates "concrete elbow". We still need a couple more beds, so if you can donate one, please click over to our Donate Goods page and help us out!

The ground breaking ceremony was on May 20th, 2011, and with a lot of hard work from our volunteers, it was up and running in 6 months. We also have a great group of sponsors who contributed products, labor and money (sometimes all three) to make this happen.

Take a look at the video below to see the dogs moving in. We were curious what they'd think of their new quarters, and after a couple minutes of sniffing around, they settled right in. It didn't take long for them to realize this was a good place to be until they can find their "furever" home (click here for our adoptable dogs, please).

Canine Pet Rescue Corp (CPR)

is dedicated to reconditioning wayward dogs, in particular German Shepherd Dogs, with the end goal of placing them in a stable environment, which harbors positive behaviors from the dog. Many times, a dog will remain in our program for months, until the right environment is found. CPR believes that quality overrides quantity. We advocate responsible pet ownership and believe that education is key to providing wayward canines a strong and successful life. We believe that canines can be therapists, teachers, motivators, and friends and the love of the DOG carries us to the goal of rescuing, rehabilitating, and training these misplaced canines. We are a small group, made up of various rescue individuals that assume the responsibility of caring for, providing medical care, rehabilitating, and training misplaced or owner surrendered canines. Many of the dogs within the organization have been mishandled or placed in the wrong environment and are in desperate need of mental stimulation, training, and a proper structure in their lives.

CPR is a 501c3 non profit organization as recognized by the Internal Revenue Code, a GA non-profit corporation, and licensed by the GA Department of Agriculture. We operate solely on the generosity of our supporters. Your help is greatly appreciated.
